Fence Rail with Grass and Branches, 2026

I found this piece of wood among a pile of discarded materials, and later realized that it had once been part of a fence rail. I laid it flat on the grass. Of the two holes that were originally used to connect the fence structure, one is pierced through by a branch and fixed into the soil, while the other allows grass from the ground to grow through it.
